Albury to Istanbul

The travel to Istanbul was gruelling, in total it took 41 hrs from Albury to Istanbul, with stops in Sydney, Bangkok, Heathrow and finally we arrived in Istanbul. We were whisked away by the motel bus where the driver didn’t speak English except hello and you Ben Wilson!. The first thing that struck me was there appeared to be no road rules whatsoever except for the hand on the horn. The Sebnem Hotel where we are staying is atmospheric, particularly the atmosphere in the bathroom. As soon as we arrived we headed out around the streets, to encounter our first sales person trying to relieve us of our money, which is apparently the norm. Dinner consisted of Turkish pizza, of course.
