We were set to go to Pamukkale on the over night train which left at 5:30pm but we thought we should get to the train station early, as it was a tram and a ferry ride away. We spent the morning just hanging around and headed off to the train station at about lunch time. All went smoothly and we got to the train station with 3hours to spare, so we sat down to a game of backgammon, the Turkish national game, on a pier on the Bosphrous river, very nice, but maybe a bit stinky! We were going well even though I think Ben and I have made up most of the rules! All of a sudden an old Turkish man who could see up playing came over to give us a hand and we found that, yes Ben and I were playing incorrectly. The nice man helped us finish the game before we got on the train!
